Thank you tags

Spent all my free time handcutting the tags, then cutting them again to give them the shape they are in...Hey, don't think I'm such a boring person, okay? I do get out. Was out this morning... went shopping for some clothes..but that's another story.. Maybe I will take a picture of what I bought...ahhh, but I digressed..darn :P

Made one dozen of these tags... Handwrote every single one of them. Makes it more personal, no? The reverse side is blank. You can write a short message on them if you want.

Handmade the white envelope that it comes in too. Thought it all looks nicer tucked neatly :)

They are up and ready to go out to anyone who wishes to own them :) You can get them in my Etsy shop for a very reasonable price, I assure you. Check it out if you don't believe me *winks*

Wants vs. Needs

I think I have more 'wants' than 'needs'. And I'm good at making the 'want' sounds like 'need' to myself. Man, I'm good at justifying my purchases...hahahaha. Anyone else out there like me?

The list of 'wants' always, always outweighs the list of 'needs'. The female of the species have it worse. We are spoilt for choices for things to use, wear, blah blah blah. I mean, we can wear skirts, pants, shorts, tights, capris, blouses, tank-tops, dresses *gasp* the list goes on. Men are so much luckier. All they need is a few pairs of pants, jeans and shirts or t-shirts and they are all set to go *grins*

We, girls, HAVE to look good, right? haha... Ok, I have lost the drift and can't really remember what it is that I started out to blog about. Hmmm.... must be the time-off I took to go jogging just now.

Brain power sucks big time...

Anywho, I'm going shopping for a few new pieces of clothings in the coming weeks :P New job, new clothes? hehe.. See, excuses, justifications..haha. Seriously, I need to dress for success and my wardrobe really needs an overhaul. Most of my clothes are from 2003 when I first started out to work. See, I *justify* myself again. Sigh. It's a lost battle. My wallet and bank account's ever losing battle :P

Justified?

I'm leaving my current job for a new challenge. Well, ultimately it will still be a job that pays my bills but the challenges are way different. So, because of this, my colleagues had a so-called 'farewell' lunch with me at this restaurant called The Ship.

Hmmm...I do hope the other franchises that they have smell nicer, has nicer(newer) decor and have staffs with better attitudes. Oh, and of course, better FOOD. The moment we entered the place, the presence of a funny-smelling odour is apparent and the whole place just looks, erm, run-down. Quite a letdown, I must say. I was expecting it to be a whole lot better.

Anyway, I didn't start out to blog about the restaurant. I wanted to say this.

Corruption is easily justified.

Why do I say that? Someone on the table, let's call him KY, was telling us about his brother-in-law. A cop. Well, a retired cop with a Datukship actually. I asked him if his bro-in-law ever took bribes during his time serving the police force and he said 'No'. And then he goes on to say that when his bro-in-law climbed up the ladder and was among the top before he retired, it's norm that he gets a share of bribes. Like it's understandable to take it.

I said that he can always make a difference and say no to taking bribes or sharing the cut, whatever you call it. Then he shook his head and said that his bro-in-law never took any during the times he started out, only happened when he was amongst the top.

Isn't that even worse? I think someone should stand up and make a difference and not be afraid of the consequences. Believe in the truth and making a difference to achieve good for the country. I'm not saying starting a revolution or riots, but in believing in the truth and standing up for it. A good example of that would be Mahatma Gandhi and he never used any violence nor advocated any.

That's why I told my Dad I can never enter the police force. I will be the thorn in their flesh, that pebble in their shoe, that splinter in their eye (well, you get the drift) the moment I stand up to reject. My lifespan would certainly be short..haha. My dad would have certainly thought I'm retard and hence, I'm better off not 'serving' the country.

My alter-ego wished I had done so. My alter-ego wished I had stood up for a cause and am now making a difference in this very, very crippled country. We made it cripple. Can we heal it?

Do you believe?

That there's a man in the moon? Unbelievable? Hmmm.. well, you never know. The Chinese legend has it that there's a beautiful maiden (Chang 'er) on the moon with a jade rabbit living in a palace. And well, there are Greek legends, urm, ah, .....

Erm, that's about all I know. Not sure if there are other legends and myths. Do fill me up if there is. I love legends, myths and folklores :D

There is, however, one Man in the Moon that is for all to see and it's being featured in Subu's blog! She's having a giveaway --> a Man in the Moon Necklace!

Go, check it out and tell me what a beauty that is :) Oh, and do remember the legends thingys...fill me up if there's more :D

If looks could kill

Why is it that whenever someone wants to speak to me or wants something from me, they just come a-knocking and expect whatever it is that they want?

You have your way of relaxation after a day of hardwork. It's called playing World of Warcraft. Unfortunately I have not joined the blardy gym yet. I so have to just fork out the money and join that gym so that I can sweat it out.

Yes...I'm just hating the fact of planning something that involves both parties but can only be discussed at one person's convenience. What about mine?

If looks could kill? Said person would have been pierced to death by my stare.
