Instalovin'

This is my first scrapbook layout since I delivered my baby boy about 2 weeks ago. It's been a pretty challenging two weeks, what with the sleepless nights, crying and all, but it's all been good. So happy to hear from the Dr that he is gaining weight!

One thing I am so not used to (besides the waking up a couple of times in the middle of the night) is not being able to find time to scrapbook or do my Project Life. I have lots of photos in my iPhone that I have just finally uploaded into my laptop and hoping to find time to edit and print them soon (fingers crossed!!!)

Thank God my mum is here, though. Our meals are all taken care off and that's a big relief. I can't imagine a sleep-deprived me having to cook and clean the apartment too! At least things are not as topsy-turvy as they would be.. haha...

So, here's my layout that I made using Maggie Holmes line from Crate Paper. I super adore her designs and was almost gonna hoard everything and not use them :P

Photos were taken during Christmas last year in Santa Monica. We went out for a walk and it was great. The weather was perfect and there were not many people :)

I added glitter to the punched-out hearts

And finally got the chance to use my tiny attacher... haha....

Happiness

..... can come in many different forms. And for me, one of them was receiving a really happy email from Little Yellow Bicycle sometime early October informing me that I have been given the opportunity to be a part of their 'Once Upon a Christmas' Cycling Team (yeay!

.... and then of course, the anticipation of receiving a box full of goodies from them! (really, they spoil us!!!)

I made 2 layouts and 2 cards and still have lots of leftovers!!! :)

This is the first layout I made. The photos was from last year when I was still in Malaysia. I love the snowflakes on this pp. And assembling the rest of the embellishments on it was effortless.

For this layout, I used the little silver stars as accents and oh, I actually was thinking of hoarding the reindeer (cos I really loved it) but I used it on this layout anyway.. :) I popped it up on pop dots to create some dimension. I also stitched the green pp just because....

Look at the reindeer! Isn't it a doll!!! And the snowflakes on its body! love love love!!

I love the chipboard embellishments they have in this line as well. Ok, I guess you know I have a thing for snowflakes by now :)

This card is made under 10 minutes because LYB has the awesomest papers! :D I cut out a part of a pp with the little boy and girl and popped them on top of another pp, tied some twine on it and finished it off with the 'Merry & Bright' sentiment.

I love the little baubles provided in the chipboard embellishment set as well and created this card with them. I drew the dotted lines and tied the bakers twine before adhering them on the baubles and that's about it! Oh, I added some stickles to them cos I wanted the 'snowy' effect :) And the Merry Christmas sentiment is from the pp where I cut out the little boy and girl! :)

Don't they look pretty? :)

Christmas Cards

Went on a Christmas Card making frenzy yesterday... lol... yes, not exactly. I have actually made parts of these cards sometime ago and yesterday was mostly assembling. Will be making another 15 cards (maybe) and I will call done :)

Trying to make some simple ones but ended up spending too much time coloring them and then glossing them up :)

And for the snowflakes, I actually added stickles on them as well... cos I wanted my snowflakes to sparkle.. haha

Celebrate the season! My favourite season in the year! yeay! Christmas is coming! :D

Christmas Cards

Ok... so the title is lame... haha... I can't think of any other names for the title as of now... Anyway, it's a straight to the point title... :P

I know I've been away from blogging for a while again and I'm sorry.... Have been busy with some orders and craft market preparations the previous 2 weeks or so... am still in the midst of finishing up an order but decided to take a breather and 'appear' here again. I miss my card-making friends... I so need to make my rounds and say 'hi' to each and everyone on their blogs again :D

Just wanted to share this set of Christmas cards printed based on my illustrations :) This year, I didn't make many handmade cards, instead, I decided to print out my illustrations. Change things up a little, you know? haha....

I am so waiting for Christmas :)

Christmas and love

First time making a card with banners! :D And I'm kinda liking it.... cos it's fun to make and it makes the card kinda interesting too...... This cat reminds me of my cat, Tinsel. A Ginger naughty cat but my Tinsel has those huge, round, deceiving angelic eyes... HAHAHA...

Stamped the background with distressed stripes stamps... drew the cross-stitch since I can't bear to poke a needle through my paper... made the banner using PP and baker's twine.. you can't really see it but it's the red and white baker's twine... just like the one I adhered behind the sentiment.

Drew the little hearts myself and glossed it up to make it look more 3D and I based this all on Cardabilities' Sketch #17

I know it's the Christmas season and all but this is like a mix of Christmas and love and hello all together! Notice my little snowflakes at the side? I glittered them up! :)

Hope you like my card and do hop on over to Cardabilities and join us with this fun sketch! :D
