Well, at least for me :)

I was just so lucky (but my wallet was unlucky ;P ) to notice a book fair in the vicinity of work yesterday. At first, I didn't bother going near it since I still have some work pending but after my rounds, I decided to just pop by and see what they have to offer.

*bad idea..since I have a love for books like the affinity of erm, what's a good metaphor, hmmm... like the affinity of bee to honey? Lame, yes, I know. But it's the easiest metaphor to think up at the moment..hehe*

So, some $$ parted from it's beloved resting place --> my wallet.

But it's just way cool! It's such a great bargain! Let me show you what I got! *I can't wipe the grin off my face*

See, 5 books! There's book on Chinese cooking, 101 furnishing touches, Wind in the Willows, Soft Toys to sew and the Mummy Congress ... and the best part is how much they cost me! Make a guess!

These 5 very lovely books (some hardcover) cost me *drumroll, please* --> RM 35! Yes, RM 35 for all the 5 books! I've never bought books this, ehemm *reasonably cheap* in such a long time. OOooH, how I love bargains!

It's going to be great fun going through them, especially the craft book :) Oh, I'm going to put the blame on "Wind in the Willows". That's the book that got me looking through the rest and that dear book cost me RM 3!!!! hehehe..yes, I'm very delighted!

*Okie...so, my wallet didn't get hurt that badly..just slightly dented..hehe*

Through Friendster?

Guess what I read from my message box on Friendster when I checked it yesterday? A wedding invite.

Yup. You didn't read wrongly. It's a wedding invitation sent through my message box on Friendster. And it wasn't even a personal one. It read, "Dear friend, ...".

Am not sure if a physical wedding invite is going to appear but it does seem very tacky and insincere to invite a friend (whom you have not kept in touch with for years & years...) through the internet and whatmore, through Friendster?

Probably she felt compelled to invite since she saw me during my best friend's wedding. I don't know. Whatever the case in point is, I just felt that it's utterly insincere especially since it wasn't even addressed to me...it said, "Dear friend,.."

What do you think? Am I being mean, or is this a plain show of insincerity??

So I found this game from someone else's website. I don't hate or like our Prime Minister. But at this point in time, I would say I'm very, very upset with the fuel hike. Sudden, unexpected fuel hike when he promised that there will be none this year.

Now it's going to cost so much more to get a full tank. And my hometown is 300over KM away from where I work. There they go promoting family togetherness and all those bullsh*t and then they raise petrol price. How to go home like that? Abolishing subsidies just after 4 hours of deliberation..WOW...why not deliberate another 4 hours and take away the stupid taxes imposed on car purchase??! So totally not fair...

My salary is not increasing but the price of everything else around me is. This is so affecting my mood.. le sigh! Can't expect us to keep tightening our belt when theirs is ever expanding..Oh you know who I'm talking about. I also need savings, k? And we, Rakyat's, savings are pittance compared to yours. You 'save' one time, we have to save a year or few, probably. LE SIGH!!

Goodness...I don't think I should be stressed up on a SUNDAY!! It's a day for rest and relaxation. Darn it.

I need to de-stress. I need to read a book. Go take some nice pics with my nice camera. Go for a jog. Anything but work.

But, alas, I have to complete them for tomorrow. Drats. drats.. double, triple Drats!

I can't remember where I first read that this book is a bestseller. But I do know I've probably come across a few friends' webpages that mentioned about this book in passing.

Went to Borders a few weeks ago and bought books! Almost RM 200 spent on books alone *gasp* All because I went there to pick up a bargain book on stamping :) Great book that cost me only RM 10 but made me spent more just because I stepped into a place I love. I love book shops! I love books! Doesn't necessary means that I have a lot of time to read though ... a lot of my books are still sitting lonely on the bookshelf as I have not found time to indulge in them yet. But oh, how I just love the feel of a book in my hands, the world they bring me into...

So here, this is the book I'm currently reading. The Life of Pi. I hope it's good. The first few pages didn't put me to sleep...HAHA.

I still have a few books to read after this one. But already I'm thinking of what other books to buy. Probably will lay my hands on the Shopaholic series. But not sure if they are nice.. or my type yet.

Help. Chain me to a chair. Let me not into another book shop for, erm, 6 months?
