Your Next Stamp 1st Design Team Call

There's this new stamp company called Your Next Stamp and they're having their first DT call. I was blurfing (a new term I learned from ~Amy~) when I saw their designs, I decided I wanted to try to be on their team. I love their whimsical designs.

They actually asked for 2 card designs to be posted for them to see but I've decided to add a third :P I'm hoping that will increase my chances?? :P

So, all I have to do now is to wait patiently, as they wrote on their blog and wait for their announcements on the 5th Sept.. let the waiting begin :D

Thank You

A
BIG THANK YOU to all of you who were kind enough to have purchased my cards :)

More to come, I hope. And yes, I do hope to work on those Baby Invitations. That will be my first custom bulk order if it works out :)

Life as it is

Sometimes I stop and I marvel at the work of the hands of God. I truly do. Although I do get skeptical at times, but hey, I'm only human. I doubt too, so *sue* me.

Like how I left this current job to join another company only to leave it after a brief stint and then to come back to this job now. There is a reason it happened :)

God works in miraculous ways.

Sometimes we don't want to admit or believe it but it's true. I wasn't very happy when I was in my current job because there's no incentives but there's targets to meet. My time is not as flexible as my first job. Actually my first job may seem like a dream job to many, come to think of it, maybe I made the wrong step to resign then. But regrets, sigh, can't bring anything back. It's in the past now and I have to look forward cos life only goes on. It can't move backwards....

I searched and searched for jobs similar to the one I first had and landed in one that is in the generally same category but not exactly the same. I don't know if I accepted it because the interviewer pressured me to ( I don't like being pressured like that ) or because I just wanted a job with perks (like those) and just took it but deep in my heart, a gnawing feeling was there. From the moment I signed the letter of offer, it didn't feel right.

I didn't feel peace.

The most important thing that I should feel. The thing I prayed for and I didn't feel but I tried to reason myself.

Needless to say, I wasn't happy there. I don't know why but I generally feel that I don't belong there.

And then door opened up for me to go back to this job that I have now and after some discussion and negotiations, I decided that money isn't everything and it's better to earn a bit less but be a little happier. It wasn't easy arriving at that decision. Money, is afterall, very important especially at this age of impending recession. Cash is king. But cash can't buy me health and happiness.

I appreciate this job so much more now. My superior noted that I am cheerier even than before and he is happy to see me like that. I value what I'm doing more and am trying to be a better person to my colleagues, peers or subordinates.

I believe God does and lets things happen for a reason. If I didn't leave for the greener pasture, I wouldn't appreciate and realize what a good place I already am in and I truly thank HIM for this.

I saw this guy in flesh!

Yeah, I know...nothing much to shout about. But still!! It's Dato' Tony Fernandes! I saw him in flesh. Ya ya.. I got no proof but I really did see him and he's a really nice guy. Very friendly. No airs. Hmmm..this is what 'famous' people should behave like.

*big grin*

Me like. but No. He didn't give me free flights, ok? So stop asking me that.

Unfortunately I didn't ask him if we could take a pic together. Cos I'm not a camwhore..haha. Nah, I'm not used to asking strangers if I can take pictures with them.

But for your benefit, this is what he looks like ->

M.I.A

Yes, I've been M.I.A (Missing in Action).

Sorry.

It's not that I've quit blogging nor have I stopped browsing your blogs. I still do albeit the fact that I don't really leave comments. I'm just *invisibly* visiting your sites. It's a bad, bad habit of mine to read people's blogs every night...hehe..it's an addiction I can't seem to cure. Quite like my addiction to coffee (yums!). But, I'm not complaining. I enjoy it. I relish in it...hehe.

Been going through some tough decision making months and it's gotten worse lately, hence the absence in blogging.

I shall be back. HAHA... :P

You guys can't get rid of me so easily *insert evil laughter*

Feel the love :P

I was beading the other day and thought, "hey, why not bead a bracelet?" Personally, I prefer anklets. I don't know why. I have a fetish for them (and stationeries -.-" ).

So, here. I love it actually. I love the color contrast.

Will defintely be making more bracelets in the future. If you have any designs that you like, I could make it for you too :D

Do you need a Dash of Glamor?

Don't we all need a Dash of Glamor once in a while? Or maybe just for the fun of it, we want a little dash of subdued glamor?

Then look no further.. adorn your ankle with the
featured anklet. That's right, you didn't hear me wrongly. I said, adorn your ankles! They are sexy. They are sensual. You just need to dress them up a little.

Add a dash of perfume, hike up the skirt (or capri, shorts..anything that sits at or above the knee..hehe) and flaunt this anklet as you breeze through the crowd.
Ahh.. life never felt a little bit more glamorous!
*wink*

Have a nice day..I'm going to bed.

About the iPhone

What do you think of the iPhone? Do you fancy it too?

Well, I'm quite partial towards it. I think it's an eye-candy but I can live without it. I just need a phone that I can make/receive calls and SMS. I think those are my most important necessity.

Anything other than that is a bonus but not that all important :)

But I see a lot of people going goo-goo ga-ga over this 'beauty'. One of them if my BF. He's waiting for the launch in Malaysia and I'm sure plenty of others are eagerly anticipating this event too.

Anyway, I digress. What I really wanted to ask was if any of you think a 15-year old should be owning a phone like that? What do they need with a phone so flashy?

According to the 'dad' who's buying this for his daughter, it's because her friends will have it too. Peer-pressure. But what is the father doing feeding this? Shouldn't he be explaining to her on the hows to handle peer-pressure?

Fortunately he can afford this (and some) but what if he can't? I really think the younger generation should be brought up with a sterner view on life and parents should spend more time educating them. And no, I'm not old. I am not even married yet. I'm Gen Y but my dad made sure I learned the value of money and how we should not succumb to peer-pressure.

I'm glad he did. I can improvise, innovate and stand on my own two feet on practically, anything.

My first blogspot post

My very first post on Blogspot :) Been blogging and cataloging my life in Multiply mostly but there are certain restrictions which annoy me. I can't seem to find out how I can put up widgets and have since given up :P

I will still be blogging there, albeit in less consistency than I used to . Will still be posting photos there. Haven't tried flikr yet. Haha.. If I get addicted to flikr then maybe even less posting in Multiply? I don't even dare peek at Facebook. Received a few invites to join but, nah, I don't need that much attention.

*rolls eyes*

In my little space here, I will be blogging about the happenings in my life,
the companion whom I'm going to spend all my life with, the job that feeds me (hopefully not for long :P ), the things that tickles my funnybones, things that infuriates the h*ll out of me, my love for all things beautiful, my thirst for financial freedom, my quest to get there, pundits on local happenings, drawing, crafting and more crafting.

This is my space. You can comment but this is my outlet of expression. Not yours :)
