Finished the "Tales of Beedle the Bard" in one sitting. Feeling that it's a waste of money because I would have been able to finish it in MPH and not spend the money to buy it. Maybe I should sell it on eBay or something. Was thinking of buying it to complete the Harry Potter series but am having second thoughts now.
Any one wants to buy it? It's only been read once :P

Why a *lot* of girls are single
Apart from the below 3 reasons?
1. All good men are --> MARRIED
2. All good men are --> TAKEN
3. All good men are --> GAY
Well, hmmm.. I would say because most men are quite, quite NOT the gentlemen they are supposed to be anymore. No more chivalry, no more saving the damsel in distress, no more throwing of coats on puddles for the damsel to walk over... Nope. Things like that will only happen in, let's see.. MOVIES!
If you happen to chance upon guys like that, they most probably are in the above 3 categories OR are not and near extinction in numbers *grin*
It doesn't mean that just because women today are more independent financially and well, on the whole, men should just treat them like --> men because we are NOT men. We want to be treated equally ( etc, no more feet-binding, polygamy, no rights to vote, second-class to men, sex-slaves and what not ) but equality doesn't mean omitting chivalry, right?
Take for example, my female colleague tried to climb on the table to remove some hanging decorations in the presence of 2 (very) MALE colleagues and guess what? They just sat there. Being the independent woman I normally am, I would have climbed up and helped her but I decided to goad the guys into helping.
" Hey, why aren't you guys helping?"
Guy A kept quiet.
Guy B, " Ai-yah, she can do it without us."
"If you are a man, you would help her and not let her climb up there"
Guy A got up from his seat to help, still keeping quiet.
'' Wah, good for you. See (guy B's name), at least one of you are man enough."
Guy B got up from his seat, albeit reluctantly, to help.
Guy B," you come down lah..hold the chair for me. I will remove the decoration."
*sniggers*
Why are a lot of smart, pretty, independent women single? Could be due to the simple fact that men are not men, anymore. Literally. A little chivalry and romance won't hurt. We, female, are more of the emotional kind anyway.
Hallo, we are not weak, okay. Chivalry just shouldn't be dead because we can handle so many things (yeah, superwoman). God made us your helpers. Helping you along in your life. Don't you decipher it anyway you like and make it like we have to do everything now, yo.
But that's another 'debate' for another day :P

About the iPhone
What do you think of the iPhone? Do you fancy it too?Well, I'm quite partial towards it. I think it's an eye-candy but I can live without it. I just need a phone that I can make/receive calls and SMS. I think those are my most important necessity.
Anything other than that is a bonus but not that all important :)
But I see a lot of people going goo-goo ga-ga over this 'beauty'. One of them if my BF. He's waiting for the launch in Malaysia and I'm sure plenty of others are eagerly anticipating this event too.
Anyway, I digress. What I really wanted to ask was if any of you think a 15-year old should be owning a phone like that? What do they need with a phone so flashy?
According to the 'dad' who's buying this for his daughter, it's because her friends will have it too. Peer-pressure. But what is the father doing feeding this? Shouldn't he be explaining to her on the hows to handle peer-pressure?
Fortunately he can afford this (and some) but what if he can't? I really think the younger generation should be brought up with a sterner view on life and parents should spend more time educating them. And no, I'm not old. I am not even married yet. I'm Gen Y but my dad made sure I learned the value of money and how we should not succumb to peer-pressure.
I'm glad he did. I can improvise, innovate and stand on my own two feet on practically, anything.

Hold on please...
I got irritated talking over the phone with my credit card people. What's new, right? Well, I know it's wrong of me to raise my voice at them sometimes but they can get soooooo irritating. Add that to the amount of time they always puts me on hold. Enough poison to kill a rat.. hehe.
I'm purchasing something that is kinda on a one time offer and I need the credit limit on my card increased. Nope, I didn't overspend (well, not yet..haha), I just have not cleared the amount due since it's not my due date yet. I'm one of those people who prefers the money sitting in my account rather than in some other's. Besides, it's not due yet!
At first they put me on hold for the longest time. Then they said they can't process my request because it's not an emergency. Well, to me it is! And I got so fed up. I hung up on them.
When I checked my account the next day, I noticed that the limit was increased. But they didn't inform me and I didn't make my purchase *grrrr* And when I did my purchase last night, those funny a*s has already decreased the limit. AAArrrrghhh. Can you imagine my frustration?
I just got off the phone with them AGAIN this morning and that girl raised her voice at me. I told her calmly not to do that as I have not raised mine. Supposedly she will 'assist' me to process the temporary increase. Have not seen it reflected in my account yet. Hopefully the vendor has not charged me yet. I don't want the transaction to bounce. I want my item!
and yup, I got so mad, I just paid up to clear my account WAY before the due date...
