Just made this for fun :)

Made this card set just for the fun of it. I'm really going to have to start making more cards to keep so that I can have them to use when the occasion arises. I still have times when I can't seem to have the card I like to give away (!)

Hope you like this set too :) I mixed and matched a few of PTI's stamp sets....

Oh, by the way, the Malaysian Customs decided to detain my parcel from PTI this time round. sigh... It never happened before. Quite upsetting. I'm trying to get help from a forwarding company but if the quotation is too high, I might have to go down to Customs myself to collect the parcel.

What's infuriating is that the officers refused to tell me how much the tax will be. They say I have to go there and then they'll tell me. Which sounds fishy, right? They probably just want 'duit kopi' before they release my items... what bullsh*t. I'm not going to give them anything except the tax IF the items are indeed taxable. I can't even find the list of taxable items on their official website. sigh....

And I was hoping to be able to play with my new stamp sets during my break.... double sigh...

Blessed Christmas to all ....

2 days late but better late than never :P

I've been kinda tied up lately with practices in Church for our Christmas production, then the shows and then my parents came to visit and we had a potluck gathering in my house last night :) Just a note, my life is definitely nothing short of uninteresting..... drama abounds...

Anyway, we just bought our Christmas tree yesterday. Yes, we bought it a day after Christmas. Why?? Because everything is on discount :P we got our tree and all its ornaments for 50% off :D

I had planned to get the tree for next year but since we were having guests coming over yesterday, the hubby and I quickly got the tree up and decorated it. What's a Christmas gathering without a Christmas tree, right? :)

Here's our tree :) I hope to get more ornaments for it soon :)

Esther :)

Where have I been the past week or so?

Well, I've been busy with practice over in Church :) We were super busy practising for our Christmas production. This year, the play is based on the book of Esther.

I joined the choir this year. Something I've never tried before. Previously, I've only done ushering and hair/make-up. This is the first time I'm on stage. It's fun and I thank God, I was actually calm and didn't bother that the house was packed. I mean, the normal reaction would be to be conscious, right? But I wasn't really.... and I am thankful.

We all had fun. I'm sure I speak on behalf of all the crew when I said 'we all had fun' :) We're going to have another round of practice before the final show on Christmas day itself.

If you're in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and you're reading my blog :) I cordially invite you to our Christmas production "ESTHER : for such a time as this", happening at 10 am.

See you there!

Happy Holidays

This is a variation from one of the cards I made earlier with the same set of stamps... but again, I'm using non-traditional Christmas colours. But they still look pretty, don't they? :)

I drew the 'string' myself since I wanted it in varying lengths.

I'm taking a short breather from my PB stamps and using my PTI stamps again.... Hope to create a few more with my PTI stamps before returning to PB. *ssshhhhhh* but I'm seriously neglecting my other stamps.. LOL....

The ornaments actually sparkle and so does the leaves... Wonder if you can see that.... it's quite cool :)

Celebrate the Wonder

Noticed how my Christmas cards are always non-conventional in colour? I don't know why either but I'm drawn to making non-conventional ones. They still have the Christmas theme but the colours are just not red/green/gold or silver :)

I love how they are different, though :) You know where to look next time you want some unconventional cards :)

For this card, I spritz glimmer mist on the cardstock too.... I can't seem to stay away from glimmer mist these days... and Stickles and Glossy accents. I love how they make images pop :)

Caroling, anyone?

Isn't this hedgehog CUTE? I seriously fell really hard for PB stamps! I LOVE them and how can I not, right? :) Well, I didn't fall for all PB stamps, just the mice and hedgehog ones.... they are so stinkin' cute, I almost never bear to leave the LSS without them (when they are in stock!).

I love the stripey paper at the back too.... It does add some Christmas feel to it, doesn't it? :) Can't remember where the paper is from... could be from MME but I'm not sure. I have too many patterned papers lying around and I really shouldn't buy anymore but, sigh, I just walked out from another LSS few nights ago with a MM paper pad (when I told myself I have too many PPs in the room) *gulp*

Anyway, here's leaving you with a close-up of my card :)

Micey Christmas

Here's another Christmas card that I made :)

I took out all my Christmas-related stamps and tried to draw my inspiration from them... and it was so much easier when they are all displayed out on my desk! :) Love looking at all my stamps! :D

They are cute, right? Love them lots.... I spritz some glimmer mist on the cardstock as well for extra Christmassy feel :P

And you know what? I'm so loving my StazOn ink... it works so well with my Copics. I used to use Versafine black ink to stamp images but when I colour them in with Copics, the black ink runs... that's why most of the times I will use colour pencils instead. But now, I can use my Copics! It really is happiness for me! :D

Sleigh-pulling-Hedgehog

* This is supposed to be my scheduled post but I don't know what I did but it keeps getting published so, oh well... 2 posts in a day.... hope this doesn't bore you :P

Loving my Penny Black Christmas stamps :D You'll be seeing a couple more of them in the coming few days... :) And then, I hope to get back to using some of my PTI stamps before they feel neglected. Hope you like this sleigh-pulling-hedgehog as much as I do :)

I do hope to sell some Christmas cards this year... this will be the first time I'm selling Christmas cards :) Let's wish me luck! :)

Starbucks Thank You :)

I made a thank you card for a colleague last week because she was kind enough to give me the Starbucks 2010 planner redemption stamps. In case things are different in Starbucks around the world, every year for quite a number of years now (can't remember how many), Starbucks allows you to redeem a yearly planner once you collected the allocated number of stamps required.

Usually it takes me a looOoong time to get all the stamps (with the exception of last year.... they allowed us to purchase it) but this colleague of mine has already redeemed 2 planners and gave me her extra redemption booklet :D I only managed to collect 2 out of 11 stamps at that time... so, you can imagine my HAPPINESS!! :D

Here's the card I made for her :)
