Been kinda tired again this week and didn't really participate in a lot of challenges. Slacking in 365Card's challenges for this week too. Not sure if I'll be able to catch up but I'll be sure to complete as many as I can :)

You Can Do It!

I have been missing in action again :P Have been feeling lethargic since Monday evening. Wanted to complete more challenges but I just seem to be feeling tired all the time. I just want to lie down and sleep....

But I want to try and make something tonight and here's what I did. "You can do it" is the sentiment we're supposed to use on our card for the Day 151 challenge over at 365 Cards :)

Since the sentiment is 'you can do it', I decided to do it! :D

Fruitful weekend

I went back to my hometown over the weekend. It was great bonding with my parents again. Well, isn't it always nice to meet up with our parents again? :) Not so much the same about siblings, but for parents, it's always great to see them again....

As always, I brought back whatever art supplies I could so that I can craft as well.... but the problem is that, there is no internet connection at my parents'. They don't really need it so they cancelled it a few months back. Perhaps it's time to get them re-connected to the world wide web :P

So I managed to complete 365 Cards challenges for the whole of last week but I could not upload the last 3 cards I made :( Actually I was late in completing the Saturday's one as well because I was already back in my hometown and did not have the access to view the challenge.... sigh. For the first time I 'managed' to complete the tasks... the internet is my barrier from submitting it... crap...

Anyway, I'm uploading them anyway and will be off to complete Sunday's Sketch and Monday's challenge. I hope to be able to complete this week's full set of challenges. Crossing my fingers and my toes :P

It's Movie Monday!

It's Monday. The start of the week.

I still love Friday evenings and Saturdays better. Even Sundays but up till the evening... cos then Monday is looming somewhere in the corner >.<

Now it's counting down to Friday again.... :P
Anyway, you know what's brewing over at 365 Cards? :) It's all about Twilight on Day 142, Movie Monday. You know, Twilight the book (& the movie?). Yup. The challenge today is to create a card inspired by Twilight. I haven't watched the show or read the book yet but my friends all raved about it :)

Back to the challenge; Pam said to let Twilight inspire us and to use black as the background colour and patterned paper where red is the dominant colour and embellish it with either glitter or rhinestones and everything else goes! :)

I added glossy accents on some of the swirls on the patterned paper as well to add some dimensions.

Boo ya!

I know Halloween is still a long way to go... and yeah, we don't really celebrate it in a big way here in Malaysia, unlike in the States or Europe. In fact, the Chinese in Asia have the 7th Lunar month. It's one whole month of 'ghosts' roaming the face of the earth.

It is believed that on the 1st day of the 7th Lunar month, the gates of Hades are opened for the ghosts to roam the earth and if I'm not mistaken, the 14th night of the 7th Lunar month is the one that a lot of people will stay at home and not go out. Can't really remember why. Maybe I should google or wiki it :P


Anyway, didn't really know what to make and saw the Inkadinkado Halloween stamp set. It inspired me to make this card! :) It's a mini 3x3 inches card.

Haven't really crafted yesterday and today as I've been tinkering with my blog :) If you noticed, it has changed from a 2-column blog to a 3-column one :)

Also, the background of the text and the sidebars are transparent... kinda cool. I like it!

Rain... I love rain!

Woke up to a rainy morning just now.... I can hear the rain outside. I love hearing the rain pouring. I mean, I find it troublesome to get out of the house or walk around in pouring rain, but when I snuggled up under my blanket, I rally love the rain! :P

Also when I don't have to go out anywhere. The rain falling on roofs, cars, ground.... the sound of it is so soothing.

It's something everyone is looking forward to at this moment too, I guess. The weather's been scorching hot and with the el Nino and what nots, I thought more trees were going to wilt but thank GOD for the rain!

Just gonna post up this mini card I made sometime back but have not posted. I have many more mini cards that I've not posted.. hehe.. lack of time. I must find the time to post the photos.


Oh, and there's the Thank You cards I made for my brother's gang for our retiring lecturers last week. I will post those up by today!

For now, I want to attempt to make a few cards based on 365 Cards :)

Deers run on grasslands, right?

Over at Day 104 on 365 Cards, they asked us to imagine 'GRASS'.... I thought about it but had a case of creative block plus the fact that I was rushing to deliver some cards so I put it off until today :)

Bought this CUTE deer stamp 2 nights ago and was hoping to use them soon, which was when I thought of this challenge for Day 104!

I think they are cute.... wish I had the plaid paper earlier when 365 Cards threw a challenge to create a card with plaid >.<

.... are the colours we're supposed to use on Day 95's Wacky Colour Wednesday on 365 Cards!

Although it's not Wednesday now but I'd still like to try to make a card that fulfills that challenge. It's nothing great. Just a small 3x3 card, cute and simple :)
