My First Colour Inspiration Attempt!

I’ve finally been putting to use the art stuff I’ve been hoarding buying. It’s been fun although I have to find time to make the cards when I get off work :)

My snooping browsing around the internet brought me to many blogs featuring talented people who makes wonderful cards and scrapbook pages! (My next item on my wishlist is to scrapbook). I happened upon MACM’s videos on YouTube which in turn brought me to her website, Kwernerdesign.

This is my first attempt at ANY challenge at all. All I know is, I don’t think I would use all the 5 colours together if not for this Color Inspiration Challenge. Don’t get me wrong, they are a beautiful combination. They are just not what I would put together normally :)

Below is my creation. What do you think?

I really wanted to stamp the words in black but it was not allowed :P

It was fun making it though :) Makes me think out of the box :)

Guilty..guilty..

Guilty as charged..... with buying more art stuff!!!

I actually have 2 'needs' that is on my list. No. 1, a pair of jeans. No. 2, a pair of sports shoes. The former, because I only have 1 pair of jeans to wear now... the latter because my current pair is wrecked. It will 'talk' to you.... I could send it to the cobbler but this pair isn't that comfortable to wear, so I might just buy a cheap, new one.

Have a few more cards made that I want to upload but am a bit lazy, plus tired so maybe tomorrow night :)

Goodnight now, world...

Well... not the kind you can eat but still... :)

A very generous Crafter is giving away this Candy on her blogoversary. Wow. I hope my lucky star is shining down on me.

*closes eyes and prays*

Hop over to her blog and take a gander.

Thanks Debbie for being so generous. Whoever the lucky winner is, I'm sure she'll be very happy! :)

If the price is right...

I showed some crafty people my blog.... and they commented that the price for my cards are a little low... hmmm... in a way, I think so too since I use acid-free materials.

Checked out some other local blogs and discovered that the price they put up is *wow* mind-blowing. Does anybody actually make a purchase if the price is too high? And I'm talking about "RM 20-30 per card kinda high".

What do you think? Will you pay RM 20-30 for a handmade card?

For now, I just want to sell my cards .. so that I can buy more materials and make more cards! :)

What do you think of these?

I made these cards some weeks ago but procrastinated on posting them up. Why, you ask me? Well, procrastination is an art :P And it takes time to manifest... Kidding. I'm just lazy.

Yes, they are for sale. I can't possibly keep all the cards for myself. That would be too selfish of me.

*winks*

Wishing you laughter.... always

Indulgence

Had a great time with a colleague over ice blended chocolate today :)

She recommended me a great place to indulge in chocolate...uh-oh. Another avenue to blow some cash away...yikes! Pavillion is really a nice place to hang-out. The ambience is great and the variety of food/shopping they have is *wow*.

Sorry to burden her with some random ramblings which I poured on her. Will keep in mind not to be so verbal with my thoughts in the future. She was superbly kind to bear with me, though.

The chocolate was great. Love that it's a bit bitter. But it's very filling and for a girl, maybe that's like a substitute for a meal. Meal replacement therapy = chocolate. Not a bad idea, right?

Then I acccompanied Hubby to have dinner and we walked around Pavillion for a while. I have a new love. I fell in love and I fell hard *darn* Hubby couldn't understand it either. Well, I think this kinda love can only be understood by another girl :P

Life just have too many indulgences. Let me work at my finance again to see if I could ever afford what I want. I know it's stupid but yeah, maybe I want to be stupid once in a while.

Tears overflow...

..... from watching 'The Reader'.

what? Don't judge me. It's a rather moving and thought-provoking movie to me. To some, it may just be another movie but not to me. And to many others, they just want to see Kate Winslet naked again...... hmmmm

I enjoy movie of this genre, I just don't like the fact that two people who feel deeply for each other can't end up together. For various reasons. Which in this movie's case is the how both of them are so introvert in their feelings. Somehow, I don't think age is an issue for them as they both seem not to care that people see them together. Especially Michael. He totally showed her that he disregards how people think of their age gap by kissing her in plain view of the shopkeeper who called Hannah, his mother. That was very sweet.

It moved me how Hannah left a deep mark in Michael's heart and how that mark didn't heal over time. He just carried that burden with him through stages of his life. Hannah left him to avoid being promoted because she's hiding her secret which I think was a bit silly. She could've just told her superior that she was happy where she is and decline the promotion. They could still be together then.

Hannah's secret and her determination to safeguard it, landed her in life imprisonment. Michael, realizing her secret almost met up with her in the lock-up to talk to her but he backed out, at the last minute. I feel that he is still too hurt as to why she left him abruptly, without saying goodbye some 8 years ago and that he still loves her too much. He was probably just too hurt to face her again. She is not the sort who would explain the reason why she left even if he did meet her, I think.

It is in a way, a beautiful but tragic love story. Hannah is egoistic in a way because she doesn't want the world to know her incapability but she is naive and straightforward as well. That I find both endearing and silly. To her, some things need to be done and it has to be done. Michael, on the other hand, is a sweet guy. Caring to her by reading her stories, something she loves and always having a piece of her in his heart which makes it hard for him to open up to others. She was his first and in a way, I think, his only true love. Their bond and attraction is just beyond words.

It tugs at my heartstring. I /love-hate/ unrequited love stories. And if you've read till here and have not watched the movie, I think you've read too many spoilers.... fortunately/unfortunately?

Note : Don't ever watch a romantic, touching, sentimental kinda movie when you feel even the teensiest bit depressed. Makes you cry in buckets instead of small pails... HEHE... whatever will the difference be, right?

S1 & S2..... I think...

I really can't sit on any soft surface for too long. And bad posture while sitting is also my bane.

Was sitting on my bed watching tv and browsing on my laptop last night & the night before. Tonight, I'm already feeling a bit of a gnawing pain in my lower spine. Towards the tailbone. I think it's the S1 & S2 bone. The chiropractor mentioned it before when I last visited him but once I'm 'healed', I forgot their locations :P

I hurt my back once. I think about 2 years plus ago. Sitting on soft surface for too long. The pain didn't even set in gradually. It was acute! The pain just suddenly set in once and I had to be on bed rest for about 1 week. It wasn't slipped disc per se. But my S1 & S2 were out of alignment causing me extreme pain. It was torture to get out of bed, sit down, get back to bed. Basically every movement is torture......

So now that I'm feeling a teeny weeny bit of irritation on my lower back again, I've moved back to sitting on the floor while typing on my laptop which is placed on my multipurpose box (hehe)...makeshift table. I enjoy sitting on the floor anyway. Nice and cooling and good for my back!

:)

I ain't not going back to hurting myself. It seriously, seriously hurts like crazy!!
