Made this card set just for the fun of it. I'm really going to have to start making more cards to keep so that I can have them to use when the occasion arises. I still have times when I can't seem to have the card I like to give away (!)
Hope you like this set too :) I mixed and matched a few of PTI's stamp sets....
Oh, by the way, the Malaysian Customs decided to detain my parcel from PTI this time round. sigh... It never happened before. Quite upsetting. I'm trying to get help from a forwarding company but if the quotation is too high, I might have to go down to Customs myself to collect the parcel.
What's infuriating is that the officers refused to tell me how much the tax will be. They say I have to go there and then they'll tell me. Which sounds fishy, right? They probably just want 'duit kopi' before they release my items... what bullsh*t. I'm not going to give them anything except the tax IF the items are indeed taxable. I can't even find the list of taxable items on their official website. sigh....
And I was hoping to be able to play with my new stamp sets during my break.... double sigh...

Blessed Christmas to all ....
2 days late but better late than never :P
I've been kinda tied up lately with practices in Church for our Christmas production, then the shows and then my parents came to visit and we had a potluck gathering in my house last night :) Just a note, my life is definitely nothing short of uninteresting..... drama abounds...
Anyway, we just bought our Christmas tree yesterday. Yes, we bought it a day after Christmas. Why?? Because everything is on discount :P we got our tree and all its ornaments for 50% off :D
I had planned to get the tree for next year but since we were having guests coming over yesterday, the hubby and I quickly got the tree up and decorated it. What's a Christmas gathering without a Christmas tree, right? :)
Here's our tree :) I hope to get more ornaments for it soon :)

Esther :)
Where have I been the past week or so?
Well, I've been busy with practice over in Church :) We were super busy practising for our Christmas production. This year, the play is based on the book of Esther.
I joined the choir this year. Something I've never tried before. Previously, I've only done ushering and hair/make-up. This is the first time I'm on stage. It's fun and I thank God, I was actually calm and didn't bother that the house was packed. I mean, the normal reaction would be to be conscious, right? But I wasn't really.... and I am thankful.
We all had fun. I'm sure I speak on behalf of all the crew when I said 'we all had fun' :) We're going to have another round of practice before the final show on Christmas day itself.
If you're in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and you're reading my blog :) I cordially invite you to our Christmas production "ESTHER : for such a time as this", happening at 10 am.
See you there!

Happy Holidays
This is a variation from one of the cards I made earlier with the same set of stamps... but again, I'm using non-traditional Christmas colours. But they still look pretty, don't they? :)
I drew the 'string' myself since I wanted it in varying lengths.
I'm taking a short breather from my PB stamps and using my PTI stamps again.... Hope to create a few more with my PTI stamps before returning to PB. *ssshhhhhh* but I'm seriously neglecting my other stamps.. LOL....

The ornaments actually sparkle and so does the leaves... Wonder if you can see that.... it's quite cool :)

Celebrate the Wonder
Noticed how my Christmas cards are always non-conventional in colour? I don't know why either but I'm drawn to making non-conventional ones. They still have the Christmas theme but the colours are just not red/green/gold or silver :)
I love how they are different, though :) You know where to look next time you want some unconventional cards :)
For this card, I spritz glimmer mist on the cardstock too.... I can't seem to stay away from glimmer mist these days... and Stickles and Glossy accents. I love how they make images pop :)

Caroling, anyone?
Isn't this hedgehog CUTE? I seriously fell really hard for PB stamps! I LOVE them and how can I not, right? :) Well, I didn't fall for all PB stamps, just the mice and hedgehog ones.... they are so stinkin' cute, I almost never bear to leave the LSS without them (when they are in stock!).
I love the stripey paper at the back too.... It does add some Christmas feel to it, doesn't it? :) Can't remember where the paper is from... could be from MME but I'm not sure. I have too many patterned papers lying around and I really shouldn't buy anymore but, sigh, I just walked out from another LSS few nights ago with a MM paper pad (when I told myself I have too many PPs in the room) *gulp*
Anyway, here's leaving you with a close-up of my card :)

Micey Christmas
Here's another Christmas card that I made :)
I took out all my Christmas-related stamps and tried to draw my inspiration from them... and it was so much easier when they are all displayed out on my desk! :) Love looking at all my stamps! :D
Code : HH0018
They are cute, right? Love them lots.... I spritz some glimmer mist on the cardstock as well for extra Christmassy feel :P
And you know what? I'm so loving my StazOn ink... it works so well with my Copics. I used to use Versafine black ink to stamp images but when I colour them in with Copics, the black ink runs... that's why most of the times I will use colour pencils instead. But now, I can use my Copics! It really is happiness for me! :D

Loving my Penny Black Christmas stamps :D You'll be seeing a couple more of them in the coming few days... :) And then, I hope to get back to using some of my PTI stamps before they feel neglected. Hope you like this sleigh-pulling-hedgehog as much as I do :)
I do hope to sell some Christmas cards this year... this will be the first time I'm selling Christmas cards :) Let's wish me luck! :)
I love the cute hedgehogs! It's so tempting to buy lots of PB stamps!

Starbucks Thank You :)
I made a thank you card for a colleague last week because she was kind enough to give me the Starbucks 2010 planner redemption stamps. In case things are different in Starbucks around the world, every year for quite a number of years now (can't remember how many), Starbucks allows you to redeem a yearly planner once you collected the allocated number of stamps required.
Usually it takes me a looOoong time to get all the stamps (with the exception of last year.... they allowed us to purchase it) but this colleague of mine has already redeemed 2 planners and gave me her extra redemption booklet :D I only managed to collect 2 out of 11 stamps at that time... so, you can imagine my HAPPINESS!! :D
Here's the card I made for her :)

Chandelier....
I love scheduled posts! Don't you? :)
I get really swamped during the weekdays and nights that I sometimes don't have the time to make cards, photograph them, edit them and blog about them. I would love to do that every night but well, we all have things to do that we just have to do, right? :)
I made this card using a combination of stamps from Inkadinkado, PTI and Hero Arts :) I also sprayed Glimmer mist on it to give it more ooomph. I think the blings helped too.
Gosh, it's December already! Time does flies. I still remember the start of 2009 and now it's already coming to a close and 2010 is right at the door. Man, sometimes I really wish that time can move slower....

A card I had 'problems' with ....
Whenever someone requests for a 'masculine-themed' card, I would spend the longest time ever thinking of how to make one.... besides colours, what else can I do to make a card more 'masculine'?
Sweet-looking, vintage, cute.... those are 'easier' to make.... but masculine? Hmmmmm...... I need to take a class on how to make masculine-looking cards :P
Here's a card I made that is supposed to be masculine... lol... do you think it 'exudes' masculinity? :P

Time.... I need time :)
I understand perfectly when another cardmaker says that sometimes, making the card is 'easy'.... it's the photographing, editing and then blogging and posting it that takes the bulk of the time... :) I agree.
Sometimes, time is really not in our favour and we might not have the luxury of time to do all the things we want to do :) But I am also glad that sometimes, it is in times when we seem to lack time that we 'find' the time to complete things we set out to do.... Am I confusing anyone yet?
I don't know.... I just feel that way sometimes :)
Anyway, I made some cards as a request from my friends and I have edited them and am going to blog and put them to post at scheduled times :P Love the scheduled post option! :)
Here's a card a friend requested for her friend who loves cycling :)

Thanks so Much!
There have been some changes in my workplace lately. My head of department recently resigned and left. Well, as much as I have my grouses against him sometimes and yes, we do butt heads (I am not and can never be a 'yes-lady')... but he is overall, a good boss. He gave me a chance eventhough I had no experience in our current line of work and he gave me the flexibility and confidence to get to where I am. I know there's still so much more to achieve but he definitely did give us a good base.
I do miss his presence in the office. He will come by our workstations once in a while for a chat or to have some snacks.. haha... and he's the one who 'almost' all the time decides where to go for lunch.... sigh....
But I wish him all the best in his future undertakings. He will do his best to lead a new department in his new workplace.... :)
Here's a close-up of the card I made for him..

I made this Christmas card in less than 30 mins.... well, it could have been faster but the Carl puncher I have gave me problems... am going to get an EK one, I think they are of better quality... :P But much pricier, so nevermind.... I think I'll live with this.... until next month? LOL... I love tools and acrylic stamps and all things related to cardmaking (and scrapbooking)! :P
I think I'm going to make a bunch of this card to give out :)

Oh, this I love :)
I know I have been missing in blog-o-land for a while.... pardon me. I believe this cycle of MIA (missing-in-action) will happen periodically. If I can help it, I would want to make and post a card a day but due to workload and commitments, I sometimes will have to 'disappear' for a while. But I do try to look at your blogs and leave a comment or two.... most times I just lurk, but I am around. I miss you as much or more than you miss me :)
Ok, here's a piece of good news (for me, anyways :P). I made a card to enter a contest in a LSS last month and I'm so blessed to be chosen as one of their two winners!!! The challenge was to create a card that uses pink as the predominant colour.
Here's my card .... and I'm biased but I love it! :P

Friends to the end
This is another card I made for M's 3rd Sketch Challenge :) Savitri said that I may have jeopardize my changes to get my last card picked cos I showed my kitty's picture in the same post as the card and M was oogling at that more than my card so, I had to do something, right? LOL
Well, actually I was hoping to use this owl stamp for the longest time but I kept having no idea on what to do with it.... and looking at 365 Cards' Day 250 challenge, I decided to combine M's sketch and 365 Cards' Challenge. How am I doing it? eh-hmmmm, by being a little rebel :P
M, don't worry, I didn't rebel on your sketch... :P
I'm rebelling on 365 Cards' challenge... hehe.... the challenge is to create a card inspired by Mondrian's art. I googled Mondrian and wow, his art is simple yet interesting :) So, I didn't use his 'sketches' but instead used his colours on my card :)
See the red, yellow and blue? That's Mondrian-inspired :) Rebelling? Erm, not too much I hope... Gloria should still be the resident rebel, I wouldn't dare take that 'glory' away from her... LOL

Wishing you Showers of Books!!
This is for another friend whose sister love books! Part of the sentiment is from PTI's Scattered Showers set.... I left out the word 'blessings' and replaced it with handwritten 'books' cos my friend said her sister would love that! :) The owl is from Sassafrass Lass.... I love combining stamps from different sets. They make things more special, don't you think?
I added some Stickles on the polka dots too and glossy accents as well. Just for added dimensions. I love LOVE love dimensions :)

And now, on to her 3rd Challenge! :) These days, I've been kinda 'tied' up with things and have not participated in as many challenges as I would love too but I will try not to miss M's challenges :) Really have to up my game and participate more.
Here's my card for M's challenge :
Hubby's a kitty person.... I, well, love dogs a little bit more but cats are easier to keep a little bit since they toilet-train quite well :)
He's been a cutie... kinda agressive and hyper-active but I think it's just cos he's a little kitty. But I want him to be hyper... fun watching him dashing here and there! :P

M's Sketch Challenge #2
If there's one thing I can't not do is to participate in M's 2nd Sketch Challenge! :) Oh, by the way.... I made it into her top 8 for Challenge #1. Thanks M, for choosing my card! :D You made my day!
And you know what? M's sketches are truly great :) Mummy's little girl, without a doubt. One day, when and if I have a little girl, I hope she'll be like M :) Willing to share her mummy's passion to create.

Happy 1st Birthday
A friend emailed me last night to request for a birthday card for a one year old baby girl :) He wanted it quite urgently too. Said he needed to pick it up from me tonight or tomorrow morning.
Well, since I don't have any orders to complete last night, I agreed to it and made this! :)
So glad I bought those alpha stickers. I think I will go back there and buy a few more... :P
What do you think? Like the card too? I've been tired so I have not been posting and blogging much. Hope things resume soon. Life's like that, isn't it? Ups and downs... Wish there's more weekends in a month! LOL...
